About Us

Built for Performance and Growth

Drive Auto Sports was established in 2018 as the performance division of AWD Auto, created to meet the growing demand for high-level diagnostics, tuning, and custom performance work. What began in Woodinville has since grown into its permanent home in Everett, where the shop continues to evolve under the leadership of Paul Carter, now General Manager of all three locations. From the beginning, the goal has been simple: build a shop that performance drivers can trust when their vehicles require more than standard repair solutions.

More Than Just Repairs

What sets Drive Auto Sports apart is its ability to solve problems other shops can’t. Performance vehicles require a different level of thinking, especially when something fails. Instead of simply replacing parts, our team looks at the bigger picture—how to improve reliability, prevent repeat issues, and often enhance performance in the process. With in-house dyno tuning, advanced diagnostics, and full build capabilities, we’re able to take projects from basic service all the way to complete engine builds and rally preparation. That range of capability allows us to truly operate as a one-stop shop for performance vehicles.

Experience That Built the Foundation

Drive Auto Sports operates under the same ownership since its inception, building on the foundation created by Justin Stobb. His path into the automotive world started early, driven by necessity. At 16, owning a car that constantly needed work forced him to learn how to diagnose and repair problems just to keep it running. That experience quickly turned into a natural skillset and a passion for solving complex automotive issues. He went on to formal training through Northshore Automotive Technology and Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, followed by years of experience across dealership, corporate, and independent shop environments.

A Team Driven by Passion

Today, that experience carries through the entire team. The culture at Drive Auto Sports is built around continuous learning, problem-solving, and helping each technician improve their craft. Outside of the shop, that same passion for cars and performance continues—whether it’s motorsports, project builds, or simply enjoying time behind the wheel. It’s that shared enthusiasm that drives the level of service and attention to detail customers experience every day.
